La Casa Medievale is a place rich in history and charm in the heart of the mediaeval town of Pontremoli. You'll have the opportunity to book one of the 4 Suites or the entire house equipped with various comforts. At our SPA cave, you can relax and rejuvenate with a large whirlpool bath with a therapeutic waterfall, surrounded by the suggestive living rock of the Piagnaro hill.
The common area is a welcoming space where you can socialise with other guests or enjoy a moment of relaxation even with a good book. You will also find a tea corner, ideal for relaxing with a hot drink after a long day of excursions.
Once you have parked your vehicle, La Casa Medievale can only be reached on foot by walking along the main street of the mediaeval part of the city. Upon request, we can provide a luggage transport service to your Suite using a charming vintage car capable of reaching right up to the front door.

HOW TO REACH US:
Once you reach the centre of Pontremoli from the S.S.62 della Cisa, you will have 5 alternatives to park your car:
P1 - CHIOSI PARKING:
Large unattended free uncovered parking lot located on Via Chiosi. From there you can reach LA CASA MEDIEVALE by walking across the historic Cresa Bridge and then taking Via del Piagnaro from Via Garibaldi, right near Pontremoli Cathedral. THE MEDIEVAL HOUSE is at house number 23.
P2 - COVERED PARKING:
Covered paid parking on two floors, unattended, located in via del Seminario, just before the uncovered parking P1. From there, you can reach LA CASA MEDIEVALE on foot as from P1.
P3 - DUOMO SQUARE PARKING:
Unattended open parking with 1-hour time disc in the square in front of the Pontremoli Cathedral.
It is the closest parking to LA CASA MEDIEVALE. From there, you can reach it on foot by taking Via del Piagnaro from Via Garibaldi. Excellent for loading/unloading your luggage and for short stops.
P4 - CASTLE CAR PARK:
Free uncovered parking at the foot of the Castle and in front of the Church of S. Ilario. It's the closest option for reaching the house on foot without facing steep slopes.
To reach it, note that the access road has two narrow passages along the route and a dirt section, but it's accessible. From there, you can reach LA CASA MEDIEVALE on foot by directly taking via del Piagnaro from the car park.
P5 - PARMA GATE PARKING:
Unattended free open-air parking.
From there, you can reach LA CASA MEDIEVALE on foot through a path that includes a staircase or via another route with public lifts up to Castello del Piagnaro. Please check the seasonal opening hours of the lifts.

We are animal lovers of all species, but unfortunately due to the presence of the SPA in the common areas and the conformation of the house, it is forbidden to introduce even small animals. We are sorry, but we are sure you will understand.
We also offer a free luggage transport service from the parking lot to the house. Ask for it when making your reservation.
During your overnight stay the rooms will not be redone every day, as we are not a hotel, but, for an extra charge, you can
request linen changes. We will inform you of the extra cost at your request.
